Liz Shreeve will have work featured in In Situ 13: Mosman Festival of Sculpture & Installation. The exhibition will be open from Saturday 5 October to Sunday 20 October 2013, during the Festival of Mosman. The opening will take place from 6.30 pm, Friday 4 October, at Mosman Art Gallery. Coriolis, a paper sculpture by the artist, will be on display in the window of Pond, 583 Military Rd, Mosman. Other sculptures and installations can be found in shop-fronts along Military Rd. The In Situ 13 Awards offer a $5,000 prize for sculpture and a $5,000 prize for installation.
Liz Shreeve's works are a myriad of light and shade. She uses the strict geometry of the grid to create contemplative, harmonious shifts in light and space. After a long career as a science teacher Shreeve graduated with Honours from the National Art School, Sydney in 2005. In 2013 she has been chosen as a finalist in the Hutchins Art Prize, North Sydney Art Prize and Art on Paper Hazelhurst Art Award. Liz Shreeve has held six solo exhibitions and been included in over seventy group exhibitions. Her work is represented in private and corporate collections across Australia, Indonesia and the USA. In 2012 she exhibited internationally in Grenoble, France.
